Good morning everyone, we are taking a new approach this year. Little to no research and just gut instinct. Let’s get into and see where some of the future fantasy stars end up.

1 – Tennessee Titans
Cam Ward – QB – University of Miami
Titans need a QB, Cam Ward is a QB. Hopefully Cam can ward off defenders unlike their last QB.
2 – Cleveland Browns
Travis Hunter – WR/CB – Colorado
Travis Hunter is the most exciting player in this draft. We have no idea what position he’ll play, all we know is whatever team has him needs to get him the ball. Hunter can move up and down fantasy draft boards depending on what position he decides to play.
3 – New York Giants
Abdul Carter – Edge – Penn State
Giants need help everywhere. Carter is the best player in the draft. There’s a chance the Giants move back, but I think they just need take Carter and try to move back into the back of the first.
4 – New England Patriots
Will Campbell – OT – LSU
Drake Maye is the QB, Pats need to protect him, Vrabel is a no nonsense guy, this is the no nonsense pick.
5 – Jacksonville Jaguars
Mason Graham – DT – Michigan
A lot of late buzz has the Jags taking a skill position here. Coach Liam Coen does not need more attention. Take the boring pick and let the heat wear off.
6 – Las Vegas Raiders
Ashton Jeanty – RB – Boise State
This is unfortunate for Jeanty in the sense that he won’t win a lot of football games. This is cool for everyone else because Jeanty will get the ball a lot.
7 – New York Jets
Armand Membou – OT – Missouri
Jets need a lot of help. A solid tackle is a good foundation piece for a rebuild that may take 10 years.
8 – Carolina Panthers
Jalon Walker – LB – Georgia
A common theme among these top picks is that they just need good players. Jalon Walker is a good player going to a bad team.
9 – New Orleans Saints
Will Johnson – CB – Michigan
See comment above. Will Johnson is a good player going to a bad team.
10 – Chicago Bears
Tyler Warren – TE – Penn State
This is a fun pick. Bears “have the pieces” so why not help out the QB. Tight Ends are a volatile draft pick. You never know which ones will work out. It’s an exciting pick for the Bears and also exciting for the rest of the division to see if it works out.
11 – San Francisco 49ers
Walter Nolen – DT – Ole Miss
The 49ers would be a team to keep an eye on to see if they move back in the draft. If I was betting on this pick, I think it’s d-line, but the 49ers could go a number of different directions with this pick.
12 – Dallas Cowboys
Omarion Hampton – RB – North Carolina
Jerry is known for splash picks. I think the Lions up and getting Gibbs last year shifts how teams value RBs. Jerry is usually a little late to the party, but hopefully for Hampton it’s the right fit.
13 – Miami Dolphins
Jahdae Barron – CB – Texas
Dolphins will likely move on from Ramsey. Dolphins will look to replace Ramsey.
14 – Indianapolis Colts
Kelvin Banks Jr. – OT – Texas
Why not give Danny Dimes some help and see if he’s got anything left in the tank?
15 – Atlanta Falcons
Mike Green – Edge – Marshall
The Falcons made a splash pick last year by going Penix, this year they do it by taking the small school pass rusher.
16 – Arizona Cardinals
Tetairoa McMillan – WR – Arizona
Logistically, this pick makes sense. As far as addressing the Cardinals biggest draft needs, it does not.
17 – Cincinnati Bengals
Mykel Williams – Edge – Georgia
The Bengals had one of the worst defenses in the NFL. The Bengals need to take the best defensive player available. Williams is that pick.
18 – Seattle Seahawks
Matthew Golden – WR – Texas
You can’t spell Matthew Golden without Golden Tate. D.K. and Tyler Lockett are gone (likely). Maybe Matthew Golden is like one of the three, maybe he’s not like any of them. Seahawks will take a swing here and see if they can end up with a solid WR duo.
19 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jihaad Campbell – LB – Alabama
The Buccaneers always find a good LB. Campbell can be that guy for them and be the cornerstone to their defense for years to come.
20 – Denver Broncos
TreVeyon Henderson – RB – Ohio State
Now this is a risky pick. Sean Payton is a risky guy, but he can make the most out of anyone. Payton has his QB, now he has his RB. The Broncos will be a fun team to watch if this happens.
21 – Pittsburgh Steelers
Shedeur Sanders – QB – Colorado
I have Shedeur going between pick 21 and 25. If he makes it past the Steelers, someone will jump back in and get him. Tomlin can win 9 games with anyone, so might as well make it someone fun to watch.
22 – Colston Loveland – TE – Michigan
Harbough, Michigan, a guy that will block. I mean this is a match made in heaven.
23 – Green Bay Packers
Maxwell Hairston – CB – Kentucky
The Packers love taking corners and once upon a time took a player from Kentucky. Maxwell checks both those boxes.
24 – New York Giants via trade with the Minnesota Vikings
Giants trade away a 2026 1st and Pick 34 and 99 for Vikings Pick 24
Jaxson Dart – QB – Ole Miss
I’m not running the numbers here, this is the trade I think is going to happen. There are rumblings that only 1 QB will go in the first. I don’t buy it. GMs and Coaches will always convince themselves that their QB is the right QB. Dart is the guy for New York, will Daboll be around long enough to see it through.
25 – Houston Texans
Emeka Eguka – WR – Ohio State
C.J. Stroud is Ohio State. Emeka is Ohio State. Diggs is gone.
26 – Los Angeles Rams
Malaki Starks – S – Georgia
I don’t know what the Rams need. Starks is a good player, this is one of the gut picks.
27 – Baltimore Ravens
James Pearce Jr. – Edge – Tennessee
Pearce could go early, he could go late. The Ravens usually take a defensive player that turns out to be pretty good. JPJ will go from one of the best college jersey colors to the best NFL jersey colors.
28 – Detroit Lions
Tyler Booker – G – Alabama
Lions need interior line help, they opt for the G from the better school. Booker won’t be a bookend for the Lions but he’ll be a key chapter.
29 – Washington Commanders
Nick Emmanwori – S – South Carolina
This is another gut pick. Safeties usually fall to late in the first, so we have two teams snagging Safeties late in the first.
30 – Buffalo Bills
Derrick Harmon – DT – Oregon
Bills like to get a pass rush. Plug the middle and let the edges get after the QB.
31 – Kansas City Chiefs
Kenneth Grant – DT – Michigan
Chris Jones can’t play forever.
32 – Philadelphia Eagles
Grey Zabel – G – North Dakota State
Great teams just add pieces. Zabel can help out their line, this is the smart play while the Eagles look to run it back.
That is the prediction for the First Round. While this is a “down draft” I think this makes fantasy interesting. If we have 3 QBs, 3 RBs, 3 WRs, and 2 TEs go in the first, mock rookie fantasy drafts will be all over the place. I think RBs are the move this year, but I know someone that would like for an RB to move down to pick 1.11 in the rookie dynasty draft. Hopefully your team gets someone good. Until next time, I hope you and yours have a better tomorrow.
Let’s Go!
